Victor, mate, this is long past a joke
Your dear monster’s not pulleys and rope
Unaware of the rules of behaviour for where he’s been thrown

Built from parts like a substitute pet
Limping round with a bolt through his neck
Like a beacon that screams to the world that he shouldn’t exist
Tell me, how can he talk without lying when born into this?

And the mob acts as mobs always act
Kill the monster with fire and axes
Attack and think after the act has redacted the flaw
Well I saw what they did, I don’t feel like myself anymore

Justifying the game that they play
With their stories of devils and flames
Like a sermon delivered by robots, no stake in the game
So detached from their actions, and proud of their merciful slaying

Windmill afire
Through heat haze both focus and blur are entwined

Born fully formed, but confused as a child
